About the role

We’re looking for an experienced Payroll and HR Officer to support payroll processing and practical HR administration across the businesses. Our businesses include fitness, childcare and church operations, with a range of award arrangements.

This permanent part time role is 22.5 hours per week across three 7.5-hour days. This will evolve to a full time role for the right candidate or be considered to commence full time for the right candidate. You’ll share the team’s payroll workload and provide dependable cover during leave or other absences. We’re open to remote or in-person work.

What you will do
Assist with payroll processing across multiple businesses, applying relevant awards and checking payroll accuracy.
Support employee onboarding and offboarding,



prepare employment contracts and maintain employee records.
Assist with HR administration, routine employee queries and related payroll and HR compliance tasks.
Provide payroll cover during team members’ absences and help maintain continuity of payroll operations.

What you will bring
A relevant payroll qualification and hands-on payroll experience.
Experience working across different awards, with practical HR knowledge.
The ability to work independently, manage deadlines and maintain accurate records while collaborating with a team.
Clear communication and careful handling of confidential employee information.

A bookkeeping or BAS agent qualification is not required.
