Duties and responsibilities




Supporting senior accountants and the finance team generally
Routine book-keeping, including maintenance of the general ledger and reconciliation of accounts
Ensuring timely and accurate completion of invoices and payments, sales receipts, purchase orders
Verification of financial records
Preparation of accounting documentation
Issuance of payroll checks
General administrative duties as required by senior staff

Basice Accounting skills and qualifications
Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures and the ability to produce accurate financial reports
Advanced mathematical competency, meticulous attention to detail and the ability to spot errors
Discretion in handling confidential or sensitive financial data
The ability to meet strict reporting deadlines on multiple assignments
Familiarity with finance regulations relevant to the industry and jurisdiction of the organisation and Australian Accounting Standards
