About the Role

Desian Education are delighted to be recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher on behalf of a welcoming primary school in Aintree.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate KS1 specialist looking to secure a full time, long-term teaching position from January 2027. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting pupils through the important transition from EYFS into Key Stage 1 while delivering engaging and effective lessons in a nurturing classroom workplace.

Key Responsibilities
Full responsibility for a Year 1 class
Planning, delivering and assessing lessons in line with the National Curriculum
Creating a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment
Monitoring pupil progress and providing effective feedback
Working closely with teaching assistants, colleagues and senior leaders
Contributing to the wider school community

The Ideal Candidate
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Has experience teaching in Year 1 or across Key Stage 1
Confident delivering the Year 1 curriculum
Experience supporting children's transition from EYFS is desirable
Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or is willing to obtain one)
Demonstrates a positive, nurturing and professional approach
Is reliable, committed and able to build solid relationships with pupils, staff and parents
