An experienced Stakeholder Engagement Specialist to support major construction projects within a complex operational environment. This role requires strong stakeholder engagement, communication and writing skills, alongside experience managing stakeholder engagement across construction projects from planning through to completion.
Key responsibilities
Develop and deliver stakeholder engagement plans across major construction projects.
Work closely with Project Managers, operational teams and contractors throughout project delivery.
Engage with local councils, communities and external stakeholders.
Translate complex project information into explicit, engaging communications.
Prepare project updates, newsletters and internal and external communications.
Identify and manage stakeholder risks, concerns and project impacts.
Build strong relationships across project delivery teams and stakeholders.
About you
Robust stakeholder engagement experience across major construction projects, ideally end-to-end.
Excellent written communication, copywriting and stakeholder management skills.
Experience translating complex information into transparent messaging for different audiences.
Experience engaging with councils, communities, contractors and project teams.
Strong relationship management, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently within multidisciplinary project environments.
Experience managing stakeholder engagement across large-scale construction projects (desirable).
Knowledge of the IAP2 stakeholder engagement framework (desirable).
Experience managing community impacts and sensitive stakeholder communications (desirable).
