About the role

We’re looking for an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to support and maintain our Integrated Management System (IMS). You’ll work across our sites with the Site Supervisors, and you’ll help build a solid safety culture where safety is never compromised.

What you’ll do
Support and maintain our IMS (ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001)
Complete site inspections, risk assessments and safety audits
Develop and update HSE policies, procedures and SWMS
Run toolbox talks, pre-starts and inductions for staff and contractors
Investigate incidents, near misses and hazards, and follow corrective actions through to close-out
Give HSE guidance and training to site teams




Keep HSE records, observations and audit reports up to date
Take part in safety committee meetings and continuous improvement
Act as the company’s Return to Work (RTW) Coordinator

What you’ll bring
A tertiary qualification in WHS or equivalent
At least 5 years in a health and safety role, ideally in civil construction
A valuable working knowledge of Qld WHS legislation and ISO management systems
Experience with site inspections, audits and incident investigations
A White Card and a current Australian driver’s licence (essential)
Incident investigation or risk assessment certificates (a bonus)
Robust communication, training and record-keeping skills
A proactive, approachable attitude that solves problems
