The Flavour Gallery, located in Boronia, VIC, is seeking two qualified and experienced Chefs to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Salary: Range =$76,000 to 80,000 per annum + Superannuation

About the Role

As a Chef, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality dishes, maintaining kitchen standards, and contributing to menu development in a busy and professional setting.

Key Requirements
Australian trade qualification (Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery) and Diploma or higher in Hospitality/Management
Minimum of 3 years of full time experience as a Chef in Australia
Experience in Italian Cuisine is necessary.
Ability to prepare all dishes displayed on menu as well as wide ranging specials from different cuisines.
Experience in catering for functions will be an advantage
Experience in planning menus, developing recipes, preparing, cooking and maintaining food quality




Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
Instruct cooks and other kitchen staff in the preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food.
Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures
Select and train kitchen staff as and when required
Ability to maintain a clean kitchen and use kitchen appliances and equipment safely.
Ability to maintain a COVID safe workplace.
May need to work diverse shifts as also on weekends

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in line with menu requirements
Develop and contribute to menu planning and seasonal specials
Supervise and train kitchen staff as required
Ensure consistency in food quality and presentation
Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant kitchen workplace
Follow workplace health and safety and food safety standards
