Accounts Assistant (AP & AR) | Part-Time Temp

An established business in South Melbourne is looking for an Accounts Assistant to join its finance team on a temporary basis.

The role

This is a hands-on role at the heart of the finance function. You'll keep accounts payable and accounts receivable running smoothly and make sure the data going into the system is right. The assignment is open-ended and needed as soon as possible, working 20 to 25 hours per week.

What you'll do

Process supplier invoices, match them to purchase orders and reconcile supplier statements

Raise customer invoices, allocate receipts and follow up overdue accounts

Enter financial data accurately into Oracle Fusion

Respond to supplier, customer and internal queries

Help with month-end tasks and general finance support

About you





Hands-on experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable or finance data entry

Strong attention to detail and a careful approach to reconciliations and month-end tasks

Comfortable managing a steady volume of work to deadline

Explicit, professional communication with suppliers, customers and colleagues

Proficient in Excel, with Oracle Fusion or similar finance system experience a plus
