We’re looking for an experienced Systems Analyst to join a government delivery team on an intial 12 month contract. Working under the general direction of senior staff, you’ll translate business requirements into technical requirements and functional specifications that fit the agency’s architecture. You’ll work closely with business users, developers and testers to design, evaluate and document ICT solutions across recent and existing systems. What you’ll be doing:
• Analysing business processes and eliciting, documenting and prioritising requirements
• Writing functional specifications and supporting solution design and configuration
• Assessing applications for risks and benefits, and contributing to cost analysis
• Planning and running testing activities, including test coverage reviews
• Peer reviewing specifications and design documents
• Preparing reports and technical documentation for senior staff
• Supporting daily operations, system changes and continuous improvement
• Helping onboard and guide current team members What you’ll bring:
• Requirements definition and management at SFIA Level 3: scoping, traceability,



managing changes to baselined requirements, and constructive challenge to stakeholders
• Software design at SFIA Level 3: designing moderately complex applications, specifying interfaces, and producing design views for both functional and non-functional requirements
• Robust stakeholder skills and sound, evidence-based judgement
• Experience in government or a large-scale organisation (preferred) Nice to have:
• Feasibility assessment experience, including option analysis, costs and benefits, and business case input (SFIA Level 3)
• User experience evaluation, such as gathering user feedback on prototypes and designs (SFIA Level 2) 12 month contract + extensions. Australian Citizenship and a Baseline Clearance required.
