Thunderbird Motel Yass is looking for a Casual Chef/Cook to join our friendly and qualified team.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Cook or Chef looking for flexible casual work in a busy hotel environment. The role will provide variety, with shifts potentially covering breakfast, dinner service, functions and group bookings.

About the Role

As a Casual Chef/Cook, you will be responsible for:
Preparing and cooking quality meals for our hotel guests
Working across breakfast, dinner, functions and group bookings as required
Preparing food efficiently for individual and larger group services
Following recipes, presentation standards and food safety requirements
Maintaining a clean, secure and organised kitchen
Assisting with stock control and minimising food waste
Working effectively during busy service periods
Working collaboratively with the wider hotel team

About You

We’re looking for someone who:
Has previous commercial kitchen, Cook or Chef experience
Hotel Cook/Chef experience will be highly regarded




Is confident working across different types of service
Has a positive, reliable and can-do attitude
Can work independently as well as part of a team
Takes pride in preparing quality food
Is organised and able to work efficiently in a busy environment
Has a good understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements
Has a current Food Safety Supervisor certificate will be highly regarded but not essential.
