About the role

Lead Operations Manager role at Austek Roofing & Cladding, a specialist contractor delivering high-quality roofing and cladding solutions across commercial, industrial, education, government, and remedial projects throughout NSW. Reporting directly to the Director, you will take ownership of project delivery, workforce planning, operational performance, and client relationships. You will lead the operations team, drive accountability, and ensure projects are delivered safely, profitably, and on schedule.

Key responsibilities
Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of multiple projects across NSW
Oversee Site Supervisors, subcontractors, and project delivery teams
Drive workforce planning, resource allocation, and project scheduling
Monitor project performance, productivity, budgets, and profitability
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, builders, consultants, and suppliers
Ensure projects meet quality, safety, and compliance requirements
Identify operational improvements and implement scalable processes
Proactively manage risks, delays, and project challenges

About you
Proven experience in an Operations Manager, Construction Manager, Senior Project Manager, or similar leadership role




Background in commercial construction, roofing, cladding, facades, remedial construction, or building envelope projects
Strong knowledge of project delivery, labour management, and construction methodologies
Commercially astute with experience managing project budgets and margins
Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Results-driven with a robust sense of ownership and accountability
Enjoys being on site and keeping the vibe positive
Humble, reliable and approachable; robust sense of accountability and pride in delivering quality work
Comfortable juggling multiple sites and staying organised
