This will be a six-month temporary position that could be extended or convert to a permanent role.

The Role:

This company is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Financial Accountant to join their finance team. Reporting into a Finance Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting financial reporting processes, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Responsibilities of the role include:
Perform general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations
Manage fixed asset register/capitalisation of assets
Assist with junior team members and work collaboratively
Take ownership of the full end of month process

Qualifications and Experience:
Proven experience as a Financial Accountant ideally with commercial or Big 4 background
CA/CPA qualified
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills




Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Key Perks:
Attractive hourly rate of $80.00–$90.00 per hour + super
Initial three-month contract with potential extension and permanency
Choice of Brisbane or Sunshine Coast office
2–3 days’ work-from-home flexibility per week

Technical and wide-ranging financial accounting responsibilities

This position will suit an experienced Financial Accountant who can confidently work across month-end and broader financial accounting responsibilities. You will ideally have:
Robust technical financial accounting skills
Experience with journals, reconciliations, accruals and financial reporting
Strong Excel skills and the ability to work with large volumes of data
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines
Experience working within a large or complex organisation
ERP systems experience, with SAP highly regarded
CPA/CA qualifications or progress towards qualification will be advantageous
