Our client is a well-established Perth accounting and advisory firm known for its collaborative culture and long-standing client relationships. They are looking for a Senior Accountant to join their Business Services team, working with a diverse portfolio of SMEs, family groups and trusts.

This is a excellent step for an accountant who wants more client contact, exposure to advisory work and a clear path towards Manager.

What you'll be doing:
Preparing financial statements, tax returns and workpapers for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals
Managing your own portfolio of business clients, acting as their day-to-day point of contact
Preparing and lodging BAS, IAS and FBT returns, and managing client tax compliance
Providing practical tax planning and business advice
Reviewing the work of junior team members and mentoring graduates and cadets
Assisting with ATO correspondence, ad hoc projects and client queries
Identifying opportunities to add value for clients and build the firm’s advisory offering

About you:




CA or CPA qualified (or close to completion)
4+ years’ experience in public practice, in business services or tax
Strong working knowledge of Australian tax and accounting standards
Experience with Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks and/or a practice management suite (e.g. XPM, Xero Tax, MYOB, APS or similar)
Excellent communication skills, with confidence dealing directly with clients
Robust attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines
A collaborative approach and a genuine interest in developing others
