Description:

This position involves a combination of shop floor leadership, task coordination, interpreting engineering drawings, and providing hands-on support with complex steel fabrication tasks.

Key Responsibilities
Supervise, mentor, and coordinate daily tasks for the production team on the shop floor.
Read and interpret detailed structural and mechanical engineering drawings.
Ensure quality control procedures are followed to meet AS/NZS standards.




Promote and uphold a robust safety culture through toolbox talks, hazard identification, and proper use of PPE, cranes, and forklifts.
Collaborate with the Production Manager to achieve daily output and dispatch targets.

Skills and Experiences:

Skills & Experience
Trade qualification as a Boilermaker, Welder, or Fitter & Turner (Cert III or above).
Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience within a heavy manufacturing or steel workshop environment.
Ability to accurately read and interpret technical and engineering drawings.
Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Current Forklift licence (LF) and experience operating overhead cranes; rigging or dogman tickets are advantageous.
