Join a high-volume finance team supporting 250+ venues Australian Venue Co. is looking for a detail-focused Senior Finance Administrator to join our Finance Administration team in Melbourne.
This role will suit someone with experience in cash settlements, bank reconciliations and high-volume transaction environments who enjoys investigating issues, solving problems and keeping financial processes accurate and efficient.About the roleReporting to the Finance Administration Manager, you will be responsible for:Preparing bank, cash-in-transit and cash-clearing journalsCompleting weekly cash and tender clearing reconciliationsInvestigating and resolving reconciliation variancesPreparing monthly balance sheet reconciliationsProcessing daily payment runs across the GroupPreparing weekly cash variance reportsReviewing monthly cash floats from more than 210 venuesReviewing and processing petty cash receiptsReconciling venue debtors, functions, reservations and related receiptsSupporting automated revenue data imports and troubleshooting issuesCreating and maintaining reconciliation templatesAssisting with external audits and finance projectsDeveloping practical solutions to prevent recurring issuesAbout youYou will bring:At least two years' experience in a similar finance administration, cash settlement or reconciliation roleExperience working in a high-volume,



multi-site retail or hospitality environmentStrong understanding of POS systems and reconciliation processesConfidence investigating variances and resolving complex or recurring issuesStrong Microsoft Excel skillsExcellent attention to detail and organisationThe ability to adapt quickly to current systems and applicationsClear communication skills and a collaborative approachInitiative, sound judgement and a positive attitudeA commitment to providing responsive service to internal stakeholdersWhy join Australian Venue Co.?
