ideally within Financial ServicesStrong Excel skills; comfort with financial modelling software or BI tools is a bonusSharp attention to detail.
A Finance Analyst who misses a decimal point costs more than one who works slowlyConfidence communicating financial concepts to non‐finance peopleA part‐qualification (ACCA, CIMA or similar) is useful but not essential for this roleKey perks and benefits:Salary of £35,500 to £53,000, depending on experienceHybrid working, with time split between the Cambridge office and homeEquity or stock options, so the work you put in has a real stake attachedFlexible hours and a genuinely remote‐friendly cultureA learning and development budget you're expected to actually useWhy pursue a career in Financial Services?
Financial Services rewards people who can turn raw numbers into decisions, and that skill only gets more valuable as companies grow.
Cambridge adds something extra here: a dense network of ambitious startups and scale‐ups that need finance professionals who can move quick and think independently.
A Finance Analyst who cuts their teeth in this kind of environment tends to progress quicker than one sitting inside a large, slow‐moving institution.
