Sitzler is seeking an experienced Construction Manager (Civil) to lead the successful delivery of civil construction projects across the Northern Territory.Based at our Berrimah Office in Darwin, this permanent, full-time prospect will see you play a pivotal role in shaping project outcomes, leading high-performing teams and building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and stakeholders.Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities:Manage project operations in accordance with project directives and deliverablesEnsure WHS is maintained at all timesAwareness of current and future tenders and market requirements in generalCoordination, preparation and submission of tenders as directed in accordance with company proceduresIdentification of areas of risk and opportunities in each tenderAssist in identifying practical cost saving design solutions for execution by design consultant and incorporation into cost plansDocument records and maintain contact and communications with clients, consultants, subcontractors,



suppliers and local authoritiesPromote and manage the identification of areas of risk and opportunities in the project and in each trade packageOversee subcontractor planning and coordination to ensure adherence to programme and minimise operational conflictsAssist the project team to develop processes for deficient areas as work progressesResponsible for effective team leadership ensuring productive and efficient project advancement, allowing for job sharing where necessaryRegularly communicate with Direct Line Manager and project staff on project progress and construction issuesManage project industrial relations, liaising with the Direct Line Manager where requiredEnsure site standards are maintained at all timesFoster, lead and promote good project culture presenting a cooperative environment of high moraleIn undertaking your role you must maintain the ability to access the project work site either permanently or at intervals required by the project as mandated by the Director'sPromote the company's image at all timesTo stay abreast of Corporate, Legislative and Statutory requirements applicable to your roleDesired Skills and ExperienceQualificationsMinimum level of knowledge/skills/training required to carry out the jobNationally Recognised Construction InductionRecognised Degree or minimum of 15 years in the construction or civil industry with senior level experience on major projectsMinimum of 10 years in estimating, administration and project management /o r other relevant qualification andrelevant industry experienceComplete understanding of construction or civil materials and methodDrivers LicenceSound knowledgeProject programmingResource, people management and planning skills
