Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a rare prospect for an ambitious Accountant to take ownership of the finance function, provide leadership to a small team and become a trusted advisor to the business.While you'll remain hands-on across reporting, compliance and management accounting, you'll also be involved in budgeting, business planning, process improvement and strategic decision-making.
You'll have the autonomy to identify opportunities, improve how things are done and help build a stronger finance function as the organisation continues to grow.This role would suit an experienced Accountant in commerce looking for greater ownership and influence,
or someone ready to step into a broader leadership position without needing the Finance Manager title.Key responsibilities include:Overseeing financial reporting, management accounting and complianceSupporting budgeting, forecasting and business planningLeading and supporting a small finance and billing teamProviding financial insights to support business decisionsIdentifying and driving process improvement initiativesStrengthening financial controls and reporting processesSupporting strategic projects and future growth initiativesAbout YouYou are a CPA-qualified accountant who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems and contributing beyond the numbers.You'll bring:Strong financial reporting and management accounting experienceExperience mentoring, coaching or supporting junior team membersA proactive, hands-on approachStrong commercial and analytical skillsThe ability to build relationships with stakeholders across the businessA genuine interest in improving processes and systemsExperience within aged care, NDIS, community services or the not-for-profit sector will be highly regarded.Mandarin and/or Cantonese language skills will also be viewed favourably.What's on Offer?
