This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced project professional with strong customer relationship and commercial skills to oversee our cable hire operations while managing projects from initiation through to successful delivery.
Drawing on your technical expertise and strategic mindset, you'll help drive growth, operational excellence and exceptional customer outcomes within our national cables business.What You Will DoReporting to the National Cables Manager, you will be responsible for managing Ampcontrol's cable hire business and delivering projects across our national cables operations.
You will work closely with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are completed safely, on time and within budget.Key responsibilities include:Managing customer relationships and conducting regular customer visitsCoordinating resources to deliver high-quality cable hire servicesManaging the cable hire fleet, ensuring compliance, maintenance and asset trackingDelivering projects safely, on time and within budgetPreparing quotations, tenders and contract documentationManaging tender submissions and commercial negotiationsMonitoring project budgets, schedules and resource allocationIdentifying and resolving complex project and operational challengesMaintaining compliance with applicable standards, regulations and legislationProducing reports on project performance, resourcing and business outcomesSupporting continuous improvement initiatives across systems and processesCollaborating with teams across NSW, Queensland and Western Australia to support business growthAbout YouYou are a commercially minded project professional who enjoys building strong customer relationships, managing multiple priorities and delivering successful outcomes.




You bring a practical approach to problem-solving and thrive in a fast-paced industrial environment.To be successful, you will ideally have:Demonstrated experience managing projects, budgets, tenders and complex project schedulesExperience within mining, industrial, manufacturing, utilities or related sectorsStrong stakeholder engagement and customer relationship management skillsExperience managing contracts, project variations and commercial negotiationsKnowledge of high voltage cable installation, maintenance or repair activitiesStrong organisational, reporting and communication skillsExperience using Microsoft Office and ERP systemsTertiary qualifications in Project Management or equivalent industry experienceAn electrical trade or engineering qualification will be highly regarded but is not essentialWhy Join Ampcontrol?
