Ideal candidates will have skills and experience in advising on thePrivacy Act ****(Cth) and secrecy provisions.The ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be required to work as a secondee within the Department's in-house legal team.
High level stakeholder engagement skills are required as the successful candidate will be required to provide advice and assistance to a wide range of client areas,



including briefing senior executives.The secondee will be required to advise on:secrecy provisions;privacy assurance processes such as Privacy Threshold Assessments (PTAs) and Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs);privacy law legal advice;information and data exchanges, data sharing and governance (including third party data access arrangements and data matching); andgeneral advice on privacy and information law.The RequirementsA current practising certificate and extensive Commonwealth government experience providing legal advice under thePrivacy Act ****(Cth) is essential.Applicants must be Australian citizens and have a current Baseline Security Clearance.
