If you're a hands-on leader with a heavy vehicle background and a passion for safety, quality workmanship, and developing people, we'd love to hear from you.About the RoleAs Workshop Supervisor, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day management of our depot workshop, ensuring our fleet remains safe, compliant, and ready to deliver reliable services to our customers.You'll lead and support a team of skilled technicians while driving workshop performance, safety, and operational excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, mentor, and develop workshop employees to achieve high performance and safety standardsPlan and coordinate daily workshop activities and maintenance schedulesOversee servicing, repairs, defect rectification, and preventative maintenance programsAllocate work and manage job cards to ensure efficient workflowMonitor workshop productivity, quality standards, and key performance indicatorsEnsure maintenance records are accurate and completed in accordance with company requirementsManage workshop inventory, spare parts,



and supplier relationshipsCoordinate responses to vehicle breakdowns and accident repairsConduct toolbox talks and promote a strong safety cultureEnsure fleet compliance with NHVR, TfNSW, and relevant legislative requirementsAssist in managing workshop budgets and maintenance expenditureWork closely with depot operations teams to minimise vehicle downtimeAbout YouTo be successful in this role, you'll bring:Previous experience supervising or leading teams within a heavy vehicle, bus, truck, or transport workshop environmentStrong technical knowledge of heavy vehicle maintenance and repair practicesA proactive leadership style with the ability to motivate and develop othersSound understanding of workplace health and safety requirementsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsStrong organisational and problem-solving abilitiesExperience using maintenance management or ERP systemsThe ability to remain calm and make effective decisions in a rapid-paced operational environmentFlexibility to work a varied roster, including alternate weekends when requiredDiversity & InclusionCDC NSW is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce that reflects the communities we serve.
