We are seeking a skilled and reliable Boilermaker / Welder to join our team based in Pakenham.
This is a casual position offering stable, consistent full time hours (40 hours per week), with a view to transition to a permanent role for the right candidate.
Your standard week will consist of 38 ordinary hours plus 2 hours of regular rostered overtime.Key responsibilitiesFabricate, assemble, and weld steel structures and components to high standards.Interpret and work accurately from technical engineering drawings and blueprints.Utilise various welding techniques (MIG/TIG/Stick as required) and workshop machinery.Conduct self-inspection of welds to ensure quality and compliance.Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment.About youTrade Qualification as a Boilermaker, Fabricator,



or First-Class Welder.Proven experience in structural steel fabrication or heavy manufacturing.Strong ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings independently.High attention to detail, strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety.Valid White Card and relevant welding tickets (highly regarded).
Current driver's licence and reliable transport to Pakenham.Flat casual rate of $50/hr (inclusive of 25% loading) with excellent compounded overtime rates for hours worked over 38.Consistent 40-hour work week in a local, thriving workshop.Real opportunity to transition into a permanent full-time position.Work close to home in the Pakenham area.Be careful - Don't provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs.
