ARC is expanding, and we are looking for entry level and experienced permanent full-time Steel Processing Operators to join our Hemmant team.In this hands-on role, you will use specialised machinery to bend and process reinforcing bar to customer specifications.
You will work in an indoor environment where safety, quality and teamwork come first.Entry Rate:$***** per hour (no experience required)Level 1:$***** per hour (based on skills and experience)Level 2:$***** per hour (expected within 6 months of training)Overtime AvailableShift options:Day Shift: 5am to 1pm or Afternoon Shift: 1pm to 9pm.Afternoon shift attracts a 20% shift loading.You will be rewarded with:$1,000 sign-on bonus when you startAnother $1,000 bonus on your 12-month anniversaryProgressive pay rates, with Level 2 expected within six months of training20% loading for afternoon shiftRostered Day off (RDO) every monthPermanent full time work and long-term job securityFull training, uniform and PPE supplied, including steel capped bootsFree on-site parking or 5 min walk from the Train StationMonthly team BBQsRelocation support is available - flights, temporary accommodation, removalist expenses, relocation allowanceWhat you will be doing:Operating machinery to bend and process reinforcing bar to customer specificationsSetting up equipment, monitoring production and completing quality checksUsing overhead cranes to safely move bundles of steel and finished componentsLoading and unloading trucks using overhead cranesWorking safely as part of a supportive production teamWhat you will bring:You don't need steel industry experience.
