We're proud to offer an opportunity for a detail‐focused Stores Service Attendant/SEAMS - to join our team at Derwent Barracks, Tasmania Defence Base.
This role plays a vital part in ensuring Defence personnel are correctly fitted, presented, and supported with high-quality uniform and alteration services.

Tuesday and Wednesday alternating hours, 1 week 8.00am to 4pm, following week *****pm to 8.00pm.All PPE and uniforms providedA supportive and inclusive team environmentAccess to Ventia's exclusive benefits portal, including discounts with 450+ retailers, novated leasing, private health offers, and moreFree and confidential 24/7 access to the Employee Assistance Program and Ventia's Healthy Minds ProgramWhat You'll Be Doing:As a Stores Service Attendant , you'll work as part of a dedicated store and customer service team.Providing exceptional customer serviceReceive, check, and acquit stores under supervisionAssist with kit issues for customersInterpret customer entitlements for various Defence entitlement tablesUsing Defence systems and computer terminals for transactions and record keepingAssist with Stocktakes and inventory management within StoreReconciliation of end of day reports and EFTPOS settlementPrepare or process stores documentation and maintain warehouse records – amend to prepare/process/maintain store documentation and recordComplying with all workplace health & safety, security,



and environmental requirementsAs a Seams personMeasuring and fitting customers for Defence clothing itemsSewing and attaching rank, badges, insignia, and medals in line with Defence standardsMaintaining accurate records for seams person services and ordersSupporting customer service activities including issuing, accepting and inspecting returned itemsAssisting with stock handling, manual handling, housekeeping and general store dutiesAbout You:Stores and over counter retail experience (desirable)Sound computer literacyPrevious experience using systems such as ERP (desirable)Enthusiasm and commitment to high standards of customer servicePossess strong interpersonal and communication skillsStrong time management and organisation skillsFull Drivers Licence is requiredWhile this is a dual role more focus on Stores Assistant, only needing basic sewing/hobby sewing being advantageousAbout VentiaAs a leading services provider, we maintain, operate, and manage the essential infrastructure that makes modern life possible across Australia and New Zealand.
