Key Responsibilities
Assist experienced plumbers with installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems.
Learn how to decipher plans and technical drawings.
Provide support in diagnosing plumbing issues and carrying out repairs.
Safely handle tools and equipment under the supervision of experienced plumbers.
Maintain a clean and organized worksite, and appearance.
Adhere to all safety protocols and local plumbing codes.
Attend TAFE and participate in on-the-job learning.
Qualifications
Solid interest in plumbing and a desire to learn the trade.
Ability to work effectively in a team workplace.
Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials, bend, squat, and work in various conditions.
Reliable transportation to work and willingness to travel as needed.
Current driver's license favorable, but not required to start with.
Desire to acquire a drivers license is key.
Paid apprenticeship program with opportunities for increased pay as you progress.
Hands-on training with experienced plumbers.
Career advancement opportunities upon completion of the apprenticeship.
Uniforms, work boots and necessary tools provided.
