Sante Medical is seeking a dedicated Medical Receptionist to join our team in Paddington, QLD.
This permanent part-time position(4-5 days per week) is crucial to creating a welcoming, efficient experience for our patients while supporting the smooth operation of our medical practice.As the first point of contact for our patients, you will be instrumental in ensuring exceptional customer service, managing administrative tasks, and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality in a healthcare workplace.Key responsibilitiesGreeting patients warmly and professionally upon arrivalManaging patient check-in and check-out procedures, including verifying personal and insurance informationScheduling and confirming patient appointments using medical practice management softwareAnswering telephones professionallyMaintaining accurate and confidential patient recordsProcessing patient payments and handling cash, card and health insurance transactionsPreparing patient files and ensuring all necessary documentation is complete before consultationsSupporting clinical staff by restocking supplies and maintaining a clean and organised reception areaFollowing all health and safety protocols and infection control proceduresResolving patient enquiries and concerns with empathy and professionalismWhat we're looking forProven experience working as a medical receptionist or in a similar healthcare administrative roleStrong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficientlyExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-focused approachProficiency in using medical practice management software and general computer applicationsKnowledge of medical terminology and understanding of healthcare administration practicesAbility to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretionA calm and professional demeanour, with the ability to work effectively under pressureStrong attention to detail and accuracy when managing patient records and administrative tasksVaccination requirements or exemptions as per current healthcare facility standardsA caring attitude and genuine commitment to supporting patient wellbeingWhat we offerAt Sante Medical, we are committed to creating a supportive and inclusive workplace where our team members can thrive.
