Senior Systems Support Specialist - Hamilton Island
Hamilton Island is seeking a Senior Systems Support Specialist to provide advanced technical support across the diverse systems that keep our island operating.
Based on Hamilton Island, you'll be a key escalation point for complex IT issues, support business critical applications and infrastructure, and contribute to technical projects.
Reporting to the IT Support Supervisor, you'll also share your knowledge and mentor junior team members.

Where you'll make an impact
Provide advanced Level 2 and Level 3 support, resolving escalated issues across hardware, software and business applications
Support Microsoft Office, Windows servers and desktops, Active Directory and Citrix environments
Troubleshoot resort applications, including SMS/Host, Infogenesis POS, TechnologyOne, Delphi.fdc and SpaSoft
Assist with the administration and maintenance of network infrastructure, printers, CCTV and IP-TV systems
Deliver complex technical change requests and contribute to formal IT projects
Mentor junior IT team members and provide technical guidance during major works




Work with stakeholders across the business to understand their requirements and support needs
Create and maintain technical documentation, troubleshooting guides and accurate helpdesk records
Support critical incidents, outages and preventative maintenance activities
Participate in a rotating after-hours on-call roster, including weekends
What we're looking for
You're an experienced IT support professional who enjoys solving complex problems and delivering great customer service.
Self-sufficient and organised, you can manage competing priorities and remain calm under pressure.
You communicate confidently with people at all levels, enjoy sharing your technical knowledge and work well within a small team.
To be successful, you'll need:
Experience supporting Microsoft Active Directory, Citrix, Microsoft Office and Microsoft Windows environments (essential)
Current Queensland Driver Licence (essential)
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills across hardware, software and network connectivity
The ability to guide and mentor colleagues in delivering technical solutions
Flexibility to undertake occasional work outside standard business hours and participate in the on-call roster
Experience in any of the following is highly regarded:
Tertiary qualifications in Information Systems
Microsoft MCSE certification
IT support within the hospitality industry
Supporting property management systems and/or point of sale systems in a hospitality environment
