United Refrigeration (Australia) Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and dedicatedCommercial Refrigeration Mechanicto join our service team in Melbourne, VIC.
This is afull-time positionthat plays a crucial role in maintaining and servicing commercial refrigeration systems for our diverse client base.
As a Commercial Refrigeration Mechanic, you will be responsible for the service, maintenance and troubleshooting of refrigeration equipment across a variety of commercial settings.
This position is essential to ensuring our clients' operations run smoothly and their refrigeration systems operate at peak efficiency.
Key responsibilities
Service, maintain, repair commercial refrigeration systems and equipment
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults in refrigeration units using appropriate testing equipment
Perform preventative maintenance on refrigeration systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and system specifications
Conduct pressure and temperature testing on refrigeration circuits
Replace faulty components including compressors, motors, valves, thermostats and controls
Ensure all work is completed in accordance with relevant health and safety regulations and industry standards
Maintain detailed records of service work, repairs and maintenance activities
Provide technical support and advice to customers regarding their refrigeration systems
Respond promptly to emergency service calls and breakdowns
What we're looking for
Completed apprenticeship in refrigeration and air conditioning
Current Electrical D License
Minimum 3-5 years of practical experience in commercial refrigeration maintenance and repair
Strong technical knowledge of refrigeration principles, thermodynamics and system operation




Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and testing equipment
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Physical capability to work at heights and in confined spaces when required
Valid driver's license
Strong communication and customer service skills
Commitment to health and safety compliance in the workplace
