About the Role:
We are seeking an Inpatient Psychiatry Registrar for a locum placement at a major regional referral and teaching hospital in Wagga Wagga, NSW.
This contract runs from 5 October **** to 29 January ****.
You will join a hospital of more than 300 beds that serves as the principal referral centre for southern inland New South Wales and the wider Riverina region, gaining broad clinical exposure across a diverse inpatient mental health case mix within a supportive multidisciplinary environment.
Assess and manage acute and complex inpatient psychiatry presentations
Provide clinical care across a broad range of mental health presentations
Participate in ward rounds, case reviews and multidisciplinary team meetings
Collaborate with senior medical staff, nursing and allied health teams
Contribute to risk assessment, treatment planning and discharge coordination
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

About You:
AHPRA registered Medical Practitioner
Currently practising at Registrar level in Psychiatry
Confident managing a broad range of acute inpatient mental health presentations
Works effectively both autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team
Eligible to work in Australia
