Overtime opportunities as production requires, once sufficiently trained
How pay is assessed
$35-$38 per hour is the starting band discussed for general operators, including suitable candidates who need training.
$42 per hour may be considered for candidates who bring demonstrated steel processing,
relevant machine operation and crane capability.
Your experience and ability to contribute safely will be assessed, with your starting rate confirmed before commencement.
The afternoon and night rates shown already include the applicable shift loading.
Day-shift rates apply while training on days.

Follow production tags, instructions and basic drawings to produce the required lengths and shapes
Check dimensions and finished products for accuracy
Use tablets, scanners and production systems to record completed work

Ability to read and write, follow basic drawings and check measurements
Confidence learning tablet and scanning systems
A careful approach to safety, quality and working around others
Ability to undertake standing, walking and material-handling tasks safely
Availability for initial day-shift training and your intended afternoon or night shift
Willingness to work overtime when required
Australian work rights and reliable transport to CorbouldPark
Completion of pre-employment medical, functional assessment and drug and alcohol screening
What sets you apart
Steel, steel-processing or other manufacturing experience
Experience operating cutting, bending or shearing equipment
Overhead-crane experience or a forklift licence
Evidence of learning new equipment and following established procedures
For the afternoon role, experience supporting a team, coordinating work and maintaining safety and quality standards
The reality of the role
All new operators begin on day shift, 5:00AM-1:00PM, so they can train with the experienced team before moving to afternoon or night shift.
Training generally takes around two to four weeks, depending on experience and competency sign-offs.
This is active work in a steel manufacturing environment, with noise, heat and repetitive tasks.
You'll need to stay attentive, follow the process and ask when something is unclear.
Overtime may be limited during the initial training period.
Additional information
$40-$55/hr casual on afternoon or night shift
Paid training with experienced operators to help you learn and build skills
Pathway to permanent work, with future leadership potential on afternoon shift
