Afrimat Lyttelton, based in Centurion has a fixed-term vacancy for a:
Plant Operator
Minimum Qualifications / Experience / Competencies
Matric / Grade 12.
Valid driver's license.
2 years+ experience in a mining environment.
Ability to distinguish between back up alarms, voices, and other normal sounds consistent with construction job sites.
Be able to work in a rapid-paced and dynamic environment.
Be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Must be medically fit in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act and the Company standards for medical fitness.
Duties And Responsibilities (not Limited To)
Perform basic maintenance and repairs on the plant, while ensuring that the product is produced according to the right quality specifications.
Conducting pre-start checklists and inspections.




Ensure safe and efficient operation of the plant.
Operate the plant according to its desired capacity and specifications.
Work safely while always maintaining a clean and neat working environment.
Report any maintenance related problems and production related issues to the immediate superior.
Adhere to minimum site safety/Mine Health & Safety Act requirements.
Have a basic understanding of different products.
Be willing to work overtime as and when required.
