Beautiful Minds Therapy Support is expanding, and we are seeking experiencedSpecialist Support Workersto support participants withcomplex needsrequiring24/7 support availability.
This is a highly rewarding role suited to support workers who are confident, calm under pressure, and experienced in supporting participants withAutism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Intellectual Disability, and complex behavioural presentations.
About the Role
You will work closely with participants who may require:
24/7 active supports, including sleepovers and rotating rosters
High-intensity and complex behaviour support
Structured routines, predictable environments, and consistent staffing
Trauma-informed and person-centred care
Support across community access, daily living, and skill development
You will also work in collaboration with the participant's clinical team and follow behaviour support plans with professionalism and consistency.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver safe, respectful, and person-centred supports
ImplementPositive Behaviour Supportstrategies and behaviour support plans
Support participants with daily living tasks, community access, and personal care (as required)
Maintain accurate shift notes and incident reporting
Demonstrate professional boundaries, emotional regulation, and reliability
Participate in team communication and clinical guidance processes
Essential Criteria
Demonstrated experience supporting participants with:Autism
Intellectual impairment




Complex behaviours(including high-risk presentations)
Availability to work across a24/7 roster(days, afternoons, active nights, weekends)
Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
Confidence implementing behaviour support strategies in real time
Ability to remain calm, consistent, and professional in challenging situations
Mandatory Requirements
CurrentNDIS Worker Screening Check
CurrentWorking With Children Check
CurrentFirst Aid & CPR
CurrentDriver's Licenceand reliable vehicle
Desirable (Highly Regarded)
Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, or equivalent
Experience withhigh-intensity daily personal activities
Experience implementing restrictive practices in line with legislation and reporting requirements
Medication administration training
Experience working insupported independent living (SIL)or complex in-home supports
