About the Role
Desian Education are delighted to be recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 6 Teacher on behalf of a welcoming primary school in Aintree.
This is an excellent chance for a passionate Key Stage 2 practitioner looking to secure a full-time, long-term teaching position from January ****. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting pupils through their final year of primary education, helping them achieve their full potential and preparing them for a successful transition to secondary school.
Key Responsibilities
Full responsibility for a Year 6 class
Planning, delivering and assessing lessons in line with the National Curriculum
Preparing pupils for SATs and supporting them to achieve their individual targets
Delivering engaging and challenging lessons across the curriculum
Creating a positive, inclusive and well-managed learning environment
Monitoring pupil progress and implementing targeted interventions where requiredWorking closely with teaching assistants, colleagues and senior leaders
Building strong relationships with pupils,



parents and staff
Contributing to the wider life of the school

The Ideal Candidate
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Full Enhanced DBS
Has experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6
Confident delivering the Upper Key Stage 2 curriculum
Experience preparing pupils for SATs is desirable
Has strong behaviour management and classroom organisation skills
Demonstrates a positive, nurturing and professional approach
Is reliable, committed and able to build strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents
