About you
You're a senior software engineer who has shipped ML-powered features to real users at a commercial product company, and you can talk concretely about how they worked and what you'd do differently
You have genuine LLM intuition: when to use RAG vs prompting vs fine-tuning, how to improve output quality, how to build eval pipelines that tell you something meaningful
Python is your primary language and you write clean, production-grade code with strong testing habits
You're at home working closely with product and design, not just in the codebase
You enjoy going deep on hard problems rather than jumping between shiny things
Familiarity with AWS Bedrock or the Hugging Face ecosystem is a plus
The offer
Approx. $160k–220k+ base + super (depending on experience)
Remote first, anywhere in Australia, or hybrid in Melbourne if you're local
