Driven by a vision to be the world's best underwriting business, DUAL has always taken a different approach to our industry peers.
Since our business was founded in ****, we have had a strong entrepreneurial spirit that runs through every part of our business. We empower our people to develop products, services and processes that deliver consistently for our partners. About the role
We're looking for a Technical Business Analyst to develop and enhance DUAL's core application WebRater across Australia and New Zealand.
This role sits at the intersection of business and technology, perfect for someone who enjoys getting hands‐on with systems, solving complex problems and working closely with developers to deliver impactful solutions.
You'll investigate issues, shape enhancements and translate business needs into clear technical requirements so solutions are understood, feasible and built right the first time.
What you'll be doing:
Collaborating with other BAs to shape and refine current features and enhancements
Translating business requirements into detailed technical specifications
Investigating defects and incidents using system data and tooling
Working with developers to troubleshoot and validate solutions
Analyysing integrations, data flows and platform performance to identify improvements
Supporting delivery from design and build through to release
Helping lift the technical capability of fellow BAs
About you
You're a curious, detail‐driven Technical Business Analyst who enjoys digging into how systems work and solving complex problems.
You're confident working with developers, comfortable in technical environments and skilled at turning complexity into clarity, ideally having started your career as a software engineer.
You'll bring:
Proven experience as a Technical BA / Systems Analyst (not process‐focused)
Background in insurance, insurance broking or an underwriting agency
Hands‐on work with Angular, C#/.NET, ADF, SQL and Azure including app insights
Ability to translate between business needs and technical implementation
Strong communication and written skills, able to explain technical concepts to non‐technical stakeholders
How to apply
will be included separately and is not part of the core job description. Please refer to the official application portal for submission details.
How you might not expect...
At DUAL we value work/life balance, health and wellbeing, family and giving back, which is why our benefits are reflective of this. We provide employees with a competitive salary and benefits, which will be flexible and dependent on the successful candidate's individual skills and experience.
Our culture: people first
Our core values dictate how we live and work. We're a group with independence and people at its heart and we're a home for talent with a unique culture: the biggest small company in the world.
The focus on being a people‐first business has always been at the very heart of the group; Our vision was to create an independent business with a unique culture and one that would survive and thrive as a business controlled by the people working for it. And finding the most talented and entrepreneurial people to join the group has been and will continue to be key.
EEO Statement
Help us think differently. As a business we're on a journey to build an inclusive workplace where our people feel welcome to bring their whole and true self to work, where differences are accepted and where our words and actions are inclusive. Together we are learning, sharing stories, and achieving change.
