Payroll opputunity in Regional Victoria | Full-Time contract up to Xmas
Are you a payroll professional who thrives on accuracy, compliance, and delivering exceptional service? We're seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join a busy and collaborative People & Culture team supporting a large and diverse workforce.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, managing end-to-end payroll processes, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
What You'll Be Doing
Processing payroll accurately and on time
Managing employee records, leave entitlements and payroll data
Administering superannuation, deductions and payroll-related reporting
Responding to payroll enquiries and providing expert advice
Interpreting awards,



legislation and employment conditions
Supporting payroll compliance and process improvements
Building strong relationships across the organisation
What We're Looking For
Previous payroll experience in a medium to large organisation (Local Government experience an advantage)
Strong understanding of payroll legislation, superannuation and taxation requirements
Experience interpreting awards, agreements and employment conditions
High attention to detail and numerical accuracy
Strong Excel and payroll systems experience (Chris21 experience highly regarded)
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
