About the role

We are looking to appoint a dynamic and motivated Chinese Teacher on a permanent basis for our Junior and Secondary School. The substantive role is 0.3 FTE, with the 2027 load closer to 0.5 FTE over 3 days.

Working collaboratively with the Director of Learning and Teaching and relevant Heads of School, the Chinese Teacher's primary responsibility is to use appropriate strategies to teach and assess the Languages curriculum effectively from Junior School to Year 12, including SACE.

At Walford we believe that each student should flourish and achieve her best, her way; therefore, it is imperative that our team is versatile and skilled in differentiating for the girls they are teaching.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

- University qualifications in teaching and education.

- Experience teaching Chinese to both Junior and Secondary School students.

- Design and deliver engaging, rigorous and age-appropriate Chinese language programs that develop students' skills in listening, speaking,



reading and writing.

- Significant knowledge of and experience with Canvas and Microsoft Office.

- South Australian Teacher Registration.

- Working with Children Check (WWCC).

- Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect (Fundamentals and Masterclass).

- HLTAID 012 Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting.
