An exciting opportunity is available for a Solicitor or Associate with 2–5 years' post-admission experience to join an established Professional Liability practice in Brisbane.

You will work alongside a highly respected Partner with extensive experience in professional indemnity, directors' and officers' (D&O;) liability, management liability and complex insurance litigation.

This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer looking to develop specialist expertise, work on sophisticated matters and build a long-term career within a supportive and well-resourced national firm.

The Opportunity
You will join an established Professional Liability practice comprising three Partners and approximately 20 team members in Brisbane.

Working directly with an experienced Partner, you will be supported by two Special Counsel, a Senior Associate and a team of lawyers, together with dedicated claims and administrative support.

The team acts for major insurers, brokers, corporate clients and professionals across a broad range of industries, including property, healthcare, financial services, construction and legal services.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Managing professional indemnity and insurance litigation matters.
- Defending professional negligence claims involving solicitors, accountants, financial advisers, engineers, architects and healthcare professionals.
- Working on D&O;, management liability and employment practices liability claims.
- Assisting with complex commercial disputes,



regulatory investigations and disciplinary proceedings.
- Drafting pleadings, legal advice, correspondence and other litigation documents.
- Preparing matters for court, mediation, arbitration and settlement negotiations.
- Providing advice to insurers, insured clients and other stakeholders.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Working closely with senior practitioners on complex and high-value matters.
- Supporting junior lawyers and contributing to the team's ongoing development.

About You
We are interested in speaking with Solicitors and Associates who have:

- 2–5 years' post-admission experience in professional indemnity, insurance litigation or commercial litigation.
- Experience in professional negligence, liability claims or insurance disputes.
- Strong litigation, drafting and analytical skills.
- The ability to manage matters independently while working collaboratively with senior lawyers.
- Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
- A proactive, commercially minded approach and genuine interest in professional liability.
- A Queensland Practising Certificate or eligibility to obtain one.
