With a fast-paced bar and plenty happening throughout the week, the venue is looking for a Bar Duty Manager who enjoys being on the floor, knows how to bring a team together and takes pride in making sure guests have a great time.
It's a hands-on environment where no two shifts are quite the same. The right person will be someone who enjoys the buzz of a busy venue, can think on their feet and understands the importance of getting the balance right between great service, responsible trading and a well-run team.

About the Role
The Bar Duty Manager will play an important role in the day-to-day running of the venue, helping ensure every shift runs smoothly from start to finish.
Working closely with the management team, you'll oversee bar operations, coordinate staff, manage service during busy periods and make sure customers receive friendly, efficient service. You'll also handle customer enquiries, resolve issues as they arise and ensure responsible service of alcohol and venue safety requirements are followed.
This role suits someone who leads by example and isn't afraid to get involved. Whether you're jumping behind the bar during a rush, supporting a team member or handling an unexpected situation, you'll be the person the team can rely on to keep things moving.
You'll also help with staff training, shift handovers,



opening and closing procedures and maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming venue.

Your Skills and Experience

- Previous experience as a Bar Supervisor, Duty Manager or in a similar leadership role within a busy bar, pub or hospitality venue.
- Confidence leading a team, organising shifts and keeping service on track during busy periods.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to handle complaints and challenging situations professionally.
- A sound understanding of bar operations, cash handling, stock control and responsible service of alcohol.
- Current Queensland RSA certification, along with a practical approach to workplace health and safety and venue compliance.
