Haven Recruitment is partnering with a respected, multi-award-winning residential builder to find an experienced Construction Manager for their standard homes division.

The Chance
You’ll lead approximately five Construction Supervisors, each overseeing around 15 homes, with projects spanning the Sunshine Coast to Caboolture.
Combining operational oversight with practical leadership, you’ll support your team to deliver homes safely, on time, within budget and to a high standard.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading, mentoring and managing Construction Supervisors, supporting their development and holding them accountable for performance and KPIs.
- Overseeing construction schedules, site progress, trade availability and resources to keep builds moving.
- Monitoring costs, margins, variations, overruns and progress claims, taking action to protect project profitability.
- Maintaining quality standards, minimising defects and ensuring compliance with building legislation, codes and contractual requirements.
- Working closely with Supervisors and the WHS Officer to maintain safe construction sites.
- Building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams.
- Ensuring accurate reporting, documentation and effective use of construction systems.
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes, efficiency and construction outcomes.
What We’re Looking For
You’re a capable residential construction leader who sets explicit expectations, supports your team and tackles challenges with a practical, solutions-focused approach.
You’ll bring:
- At least 10 years’ experience in residential construction, including demonstrated construction management and leadership experience.
- A current QBCC Site Supervisor Licence and Construction White Card.
- Proven experience managing, developing and driving accountability within a team of Construction Supervisors.
- Robust knowledge of building legislation, NCC/BCA requirements, WHS regulations and residential construction compliance.
- Experience overseeing scheduling, subcontractors, budgets, quality control and project delivery across multiple builds.
- Strong commercial judgement, with confidence managing costs, margins, variations and budget overruns.
- Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office, construction management software and reporting systems.
