We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Commercial Litigation Lawyer to join our dynamic legal team in Melbourne or Dandenong. This permanent, full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of commercial disputes, providing expert legal advice and representation to our clients. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in safeguarding our clients’ interests and contributing to the growth of our practice.
Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in commercial litigation matters, including contract disputes, shareholder disputes, and regulatory issues.
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
- Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
- Advise clients on legal rights and obligations, providing clear and practical guidance.
- Negotiate settlements and engage in alternative dispute resolution processes.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations affecting commercial litigation.
- Collaborate with colleagues and clients to develop effective litigation strategies.
- Manage case files and ensure compliance with court procedures and deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or equivalent legal qualification.
- Admission to practice law in Australia.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in commercial litigation as an associate lawyer.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.
