An outstanding opportunity has emerged for a commercially astute and hands-on GM Finance to join a leading private, family-owned transport business on the Sunshine Coast.

This is a pivotal leadership role within a well-established business that is financially sound, operationally strong and positioned for continued growth. The successful candidate will work closely with the owners and senior leadership team to provide financial stewardship, commercial insight and practical support across the group.

This role will suit a finance leader who enjoys being close to the day to day operations, understands multi-site business dynamics and can add value well beyond the finance function.

About the role

You will lead the finance function, balancing strong financial control, accurate reporting and analysis with commercial partnership and strategic input. The role will suit a finance leader who is comfortable operating in a practical, operational environment and can work across multiple locations with credibility and pace.

What we are looking for

- CA or CPA qualified

- Big Four or second-tier audit background highly regarded





- Proven experience leading finance in a private, family-owned SME

- Strong people leadership capability

- Solid financial controls, reporting and analysis experience

- Solid FP&A; capability and commercial judgement

- Systems-minded, with a continuous improvement orientation

- Comfortable working in a practical, operational and non-corporate environment

- Based on the Sunshine Coast, or genuinely open to relocating
