About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Finance Business Advisor to provide financial advice, budget oversight and performance reporting across a major NSW Government portfolio.

You will work closely with senior stakeholders to support financial planning, manage budget risks and deliver accurate reporting to inform executive decisions.

Contract Details

- Position: Senior Business Advisor
- Rate: $600–$650 per day + super
- Location: Parramatta and Sydney, NSW
- Working Arrangement: Hybrid, office attendance Tuesdays and Fridays
- Start Date: ASAP
- Duration: Until 30 September 2027, possible extension
- Hours: 35 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare financial, budget and performance reports.




- Coordinate annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Provide financial business partnering and strategic advice.
- Monitor expenditure, financial risks and budget variances.
- Develop costings and financial analysis for business initiatives.
- Prepare executive briefings and Treasury submissions.
- Support financial planning and reporting improvements.
- Liaise with stakeholders to meet critical reporting deadlines.

About You

- Strong experience in financial business partnering.
- Proven budgeting, forecasting and costing skills.
- Hands-on SAP experience essential.
- Excellent financial reporting and briefing writing skills.
- NSW Government or public sector finance experience highly desirable.
- Understanding of Treasury reporting processes advantageous.
- Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Relevant qualifications in Accounting, Finance or Business desirable.
- Valid Australian working rights required. No sponsorship available.
- Ability to complete mandatory criminal history and compliance checks.
