Cook – Full-Time Company: Punjabeez Indian Hendra Pty Ltd Location: Hendra, Queensland, Australia Employment Type: Full-time Salary: $75,000 – $80,000 per annum plus superannuation About the Business Punjabeez Indian Hendra Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled, motivated, and experienced Cook to join our restaurant team in Hendra, Queensland. The successful candidate will have a passion for preparing quality Indian cuisine, strong kitchen skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a busy restaurant environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook a variety of Indian dishes in accordance with the restaurant's recipes and quality standards. Assist in planning menus and developing dishes as required. Prepare ingredients, including cutting vegetables, marinating meats, and preparing sauces, curries, and other food items. Monitor food quality, flavour, portion sizes, and presentation. Ensure food is prepared and stored in accordance with food safety and hygiene requirements. Maintain cleanliness and organisation throughout the kitchen and food preparation areas. Monitor ingredient stock levels and assist with ordering supplies when required. Minimise food waste and ensure efficient use of ingredients. Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and service of meals.



Follow workplace health and safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment. Skills and Qualifications Certificate III in commercial cookery qualifications or equivalent relevant experience. Previous 12 months of experience working as a Cook in a restaurant, preferably with Indian cuisine. Knowledge of Indian cooking techniques, spices, curries, and food preparation methods. Ability to prepare and cook meals consistently to a high standard. Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and safe food handling practices. Good communication, teamwork, and time management skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a busy kitchen. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
