Broad Financial Accountant role | Circa $110K + super

Join an established and successful industrial business in Melbourne's western suburbs with a strong operational footprint and a practical, down-to-earth culture.
With an experienced Finance Manager in place, the business is now looking to strengthen its finance function with a capable Financial Accountant who enjoys being close to the numbers and the broader operation.

Your new role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you'll play a key role across financial accounting, reporting and analysis while supporting the continued improvement of finance processes.
Your responsibilities will include:

- Month-end reporting, journals and balance sheet reconciliations
- Intercompany accounting and reconciliations
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting
- Maintaining the fixed asset register
- Assisting with management reporting and financial analysis
- Supporting audit, statutory and compliance requirements
- Providing accurate financial information to operational stakeholders
- Identifying opportunities to improve and automate finance processes

What you'll need to succeed

You'll be an experienced Financial Accountant who enjoys working in a hands-on, commercially focused environment.
Ideally, you'll bring:

- Robust financial accounting and month-end experience




- Excellent reconciliation and analytical skills
- Experience with budgeting and financial reporting
- Strong Excel skills and confidence learning accounting systems
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach
- The ability to communicate effectively with finance and non-finance stakeholders
- CA/CPA qualification, or progress towards qualification, will be highly regarded

Experience within a manufacturing, industrial, distribution or another operational environment would be advantageous.
