About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Chef to join our kitchen team. The successful

candidate will prepare and cook high-quality Northern Italian dishes, maintain food

safety and presentation standards, manage stock and support the smooth running of

daily kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities

 Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, sanitation and kitchen safety

regulations.

 Lead daily kitchen operations: prepare and cook meals to required standards,

demonstrate strong cooking techniques, and oversee all dishes to maintain food

quality, presentation and consistency before service.





 Design seasonal menus and manage ingredient sourcing, stock levels, ordering,

inventory and food costs — balancing quality with cost-effectiveness, portion

control, wastage minimization and preservation/freezing when necessary.

 Recruit, train, mentor and supervise kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and

productive team environment.

 Communicate and collaborate with managers, kitchen staff and front-of-house

teams to resolve food preparation concerns and ensure seamless service and

customer satisfaction.

About You

 At least one year of full-time experience working as a chef.

 Certificate III and IV in Commercial Cookery, or equivalent qualification.

 Proven experience training, developing and mentoring kitchen teams.

 Strong communication skills and the ability to be highly organised and reliable in

a busy environment.

 Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
