Salary Range: $34.17 to $35.62 gross per hour

About the Role
The Groundsperson will be responsible for the upkeep of the school grounds at St Joseph's School, Weipa which will include:
- Chemical spraying (required to hold a current ChemCert license)
- Keeping of school maintenance records
- Ability to perform basic maintenance of facilities
- Experience with operating and servicing/maintenance of a range of turf machinery and equipment (ie mowers, line trimmers, rotary hoe)
- Maintaining plants, gardens and school vehicles
- Knowledge of irrigation operating systems and ability to maintain the system
- Monitor and act on all compliance related tasks. This may include liasing with the WHS Manager, coordinating contractors and performing inspections, onsite and coordinating weekend works
Work Requirements
- Hold a Working with Children Blue Card
- Be fully supportive of the ethos of Catholic Education
