About the Job

An exciting opportunity exists for a Customer Service Officer and Overflow Camp Host to support the operation of the Esperance Sporting Grounds Camping Overflow Area. The successful applicant will provide a high standard of customer service and help ensure all campground users comply with facility rules and requirements.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Assist the Overflow Team Leader to manage users within the Greater Sports Ground Complex including the Esperance Indoor Stadium, Noel White Pavilion and Graham MacKenzie Stadium.
- Allocate camping areas, take receipt of payments and provide information about the overflow facility.
- Ensure high standards of public safety are observed and monitor workplace procedures to ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety legislation whilst on duty.

This is a casual position over the period of the GSG Overflow Camping Ground between mid-December 2026 to the end of January 2027.

In addition to our paid Customer Service Officer positions, we are seeking expressions of interest for a Volunteer Camp Host role.





The successful applicant will be provided with a site at the Overflow Camping Grounds free of charge for their own accommodation.

The Camp Host role is designed to complement the Customer Service Officer position, and applicants are encouraged to apply for both positions.

This arrangement provides an excellent opportunity for an applicant to undertake the Volunteer Camp Host role whilst also being employed as a Customer Service Officer,

offering a combination of volunteer involvement and paid employment.

About you

In order to succeed and thrive in this position, you must have:

- Well-developed public relations and interpersonal skills.
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
- ‘C’ class driver’s licence.
