Personal Care Worker

Casual employment or subcontract opportunities | $45-$60 per hour

Expected hours: 10 or more per week | Morning and daytime shifts

1st Care Community Victoria is seeking experienced Personal Care Workers to support older people in their

homes and local community. You will provide respectful, practical assistance that helps clients maintain their routines, independence and connection with others.

What you will do

- Assist with personal care, including showering, dressing, grooming and toileting, in line with each client's support plan.
- Provide individual or group social support, shopping assistance and community access.
- Provide respite support that responds to the needs of clients and their carers.
- Encourage clients to do what they can for themselves, and report changes in wellbeing or safety to the care team.
- Complete transparent service notes and respect each client's privacy, preferences and cultural background.

What you will bring





- A minimum Certificate III in Individual Support with an Aged Care or Disability focus.
- At least two years of experience in home care services.
- A current National Police Certificate and vaccination records.
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
- A current driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
- Reliability, respectful communication and the ability to follow individual support plans.
- A second language, particularly Greek or Italian, is an advantage.
