About Convil Group

We are seeking a motivated Graduate Civil Engineer to join our team and assist with the delivery of current and upcoming projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Civil Engineering graduate looking to build a long-term career in civil construction and project delivery.

About the Role

Working alongside experienced Project Managers, Project Engineers and Site Supervisors, you will be involved in both site and office activities, supporting the planning, coordination and delivery of civil construction projects.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Assist with the day-to-day coordination and delivery of civil construction projects.

- Work closely with Site Supervisors to monitor construction activities and site progress.

- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, materials and site resources.

- Review construction drawings, specifications and technical documentation.

- Assist with preparing Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), quality records and site documentation.

- Conduct site inspections and monitor construction quality and compliance.

- Prepare daily site reports, progress updates and project records.

- Assist with quantity takeoffs, procurement and material ordering.





- Support the preparation of progress claims, variations and cost tracking.

- Assist with construction programmes and project scheduling.

- Prepare and respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) and technical queries.

- Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and other project stakeholders.

- Ensure works are carried out in accordance with project specifications, safety requirements and relevant Australian Standards.

About You

We are looking for someone who is motivated, organised and genuinely interested in building a career in civil construction.

To be considered, you will have:

- A completed Bachelor of Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.

- Previous practical experience in civil construction through an internship, undergraduate placement or graduate engineering role will be highly regarded but is not essential.

- A strong interest in civil construction and project delivery.

- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

- Good communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.

- Solid attention to detail and willingness to take responsibility.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

- A current Australian driver's licence.

- Full Australian working rights.





The following will be highly regarded but are not essential:

- Previous experience working with a civil construction contractor.

- Exposure to roadworks, drainage, earthworks or infrastructure projects.

- Familiarity with QA documentation, ITPs and construction site reporting.

- Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Bluebeam or Microsoft Project.

- Understanding of subcontractor coordination, procurement and construction programmes.

- Previous exposure to local council or Transport for NSW projects.

We also encourage recent graduates with limited industry experience to apply, provided they demonstrate a genuine interest in civil construction and a willingness to learn.
