Venkateshwara Pty Ltd trading as The Taste of Village located at 3 George Street, North Strathfield , NSW 2137, is currently seeking
talented and dedicated Full Time Sous Chef for the daily operation of our busy kitchen.

Major duties of Chef:
● Direct and coordinate food or beverage preparation
● Analyse recipes to assign prices to menu items, based on food, labour, and overhead
costs.
● Prepare and cook foods in quantity of all types, either on a regular basis or for
special guests or functions.
● Based on customers preferences develop menu.
● Enforce OH&S; and hygiene regulations.
● Inspect facilities or equipment for regulatory compliance.
● Requisition stock, materials, supplies or equipment.
● Recruit and hire staff, including cooks and another kitchen worker.




● Schedule employee work hours by coordinating activities.
● Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and workers engaged in food
preparation.
● Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to staff.
● Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure conformance to established.
standards.
● Meet with customers to discuss menus for special occasions.

Work experience: At least two years’ Experience in a rapid-paced kitchen is preferred.

Paid superannuation 12%.

Annual Leave 4 weeks.

Working Hours 38 hrs per week
